I doubt it.
I have never seen an actual letter from the white house, but based on other government letters, I would think that there would be a name on the bottom, not just "The White House". Probably a secretaries name or something, and I would expect the signature of the secretary, not Obama. In any case there should be a name to correspont with the signature.

It would be amazing if it were real. It'd be more amazing if it was a personal letter from the President himself. . . But please tell me you did send VHS recordings of you snapping at the owning of the conservative dinosaurs. . . That would be amazing.

Reminds me of the times we used to make "official" letters from my college informing people of "disciplinary actions" but we'd always sign it with something like Dr. Benjamin Dover or President Richard Gozinya and, my personal favorite, Secretary to the President, Holden McGroin.
Richard Gozinya was a classic though. It took the guy two days to realize it was a prank due to the name. He was freaking out because his name didn't show up on the faculty registry. Finally we asked him "What is another name for Richard?" . . . . . and then the last horse crossed the line.

It's fake. A quick Google search verifies this fact.

I doubt they had to buy a VCR to watch it. I don't doubt they would, but I'm sure there's some tucked in a closet or still hooked to a TV somewhere in that building. Also, I don't know if it's intentionally ironic using "dinosaur" as an insult but still using a VHS tape.
